Removing the batteries on the Bio Bidet USPA IB-835:
Often when this question comes up, the question is more along the lines of: How do I remove the wall mount from the IB-835 remote? To remove the wall mount, the remote needs to be slid horizontally out of the wall mount. If the wall mount is attached to the wall, this is pretty simple. If not, you’d need to use one hand to grasp the wall mount, and the other to grab the remote and slide the mount off the remote. Once this is done, it’s as simple as opening the battery compartment using the two clips, and putting new batteries in the remote.
What are the requirements for an electrical outlet used by the Bio Bidet USPA IB-835:
The Bio Bidet IB-835 runs off a 110 volt circuit, which is standard in the USA and Canada. Bio Bidet recommends running a dedicated line for the IB-835, but you can sometimes get by without one. Max amperage pull is around 13 amps. Since circuits in homes are either 15 amps or 20 amps, a standard circuit will do the trick. If you plan to run other items on the circuit at the same time, it’s important to know how much power they will pull. Even if they pull very little, a 20 amp line is recommended if the line is not a dedicated one.
What side does the cord come out of on the IB-835?
The cord on the Bio Bidet IB-835 can be feed to either side depending on your needs. This is a fairly unique design.
How long is the cord on the Bio Bidet IB-835?
The IB-835 comes with a 4 foot cord. Some may have cords that are slightly shorter. To be on the safe side, we’ll say aim for a cord that’s between 3 and 4 feet long.
Does the IB-835 have unlimited warm water?
The Bio Bidet IB-835 has a hot water tank. Once this tank is depleted, the water will start to go cold. The tank is large enough to support a long enough wash that most operators will never know it doesn’t have unlimited warm water.
How do I clean the IB-835?
We recommend the use of the BioMist: View the BioMist here
What is the seated height of the IB-835?
The Bio Bidet IB-835 has a seat height of 16.75 inches, 15 inches from the floor to the bowl and an additional 1.75 inches from the seat. This is considered a luxury height toilet, but is only 0.25 inches away from being ADA compliant.
Do I need a hot water connection to install the Bio Bidet IB-835?
All you need is a cold water connection, the bidet seat takes care of heating the water using a hot water heater that fills a tank to be used during the wash. This tank is built into the IB-835 so you’ll never see the tank.
Do I have to worry about the IB-835 spraying when no one is on the unit?
The Bio Bidet IB-835 has a built in seat sensor that notices when skin comes in contact with it. This allows it to not function unless it is being sat on. No need to worry about someone getting a hold of the remote and making a mess in the bathroom.
How does the water connection on the IB-835 work? Do I need multiple water lines run?
The Bio Bidet IB-835 only requires one cold water line, just like any other toilet out there. It uses a T connector (included) to run two lines, one to the seat and the other to the bowl. No need to worry about having multiple water lines run.
Is the IB-835 a seat, or everything, seat and toilet?
The IB-835 replaces your existing toilet, and offers an all in one toilet and bidet in one, sleek form factor. No need to worry about matching up a toilet that will look sleek with a bidet seat. This unit covers it all in one go.
Can I install any seat I want on an IB-835 toilet?
The IB-835 is designed to work with one toilet bowl, bidet seat combo, and not made to switch other bidet seats on toilet bowls into the mix. That being said, if something goes wrong with the bowl or the seat, either can be replaced without replacing the other.
Does the Bio Bidet IB-835 sit at an ADA compliant height?
ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) compliant height is 17 inches, which is slightly more than what the IB-835 provides. The IB-835 comes in at 16.75 inches for a seated height, so it is just shy of being ADA compliant.
Can I just replace the seat on the IB-835 or do I need to replace the whole unit if needed down the road?
No, you are able to replace just the IB-835 seat, or just the bowl. No need to replace both should something go wrong.
Is the Bio Bidet IB-835 able to handle toilet paper?
Yes it can! If you have guests over, or you want to use some toilet paper from time to time, you do not need to worry about if the Bio Bidet IB-835 can handle it. This unit works just like any other toilet in that respect. If you want to use a bit of toilet paper to dab dry instead of using the dryer, or you guests want to use toilet paper and avoid the bidet experience all together, there is no problem in doing so.
How does the Bio Bidet IB-835 compare to the TOTO units?
The IB-835 stacks up very nicely to the TOTO G400, offering very similar features, and a similar quality of build. If you upgrade to the TOTO Neorest line, you’ll get a better flushing power, and more luxury features. Looking for all the details? Use these tools to learn more:

Can I install the IB-835 myself, or should I hire a plumber?
The Bio Bidet IB-835 is tricky to install if you’re not sure what your doing, but it’s really no more complicated than a standard skirted toilet. One of the most tricky parts about installing the IB-835 is the space it gives you to work on anything near the back of the toilet, but this will be true for any integrated unit. In other words, it sits very close to the wall with a standard 12 inch rough in. If you feel comfortable with the idea of installing a standard skirted toilet, you can probably safely give installing this unit a go.
How do I control the IB-835?
The Bio Bidet IB-835 comes with a remote control which can be held in your hand or held in a wall mount. The remote can be slid out of the wall mount as desired, so every operator can choose for themselves if they want to hold the remote or leave it in the mount. (We find that most leave it mounted to the wall)
Can I still wash without the remote?
The IB-835 has controls built into the side of the seat (on the right hand side when facing the toilet, left hand side when seated) This allows you to run basic washes, front and rear wash, but does not allow you to operate the IB-835 advanced features like temp control, dryer, water pressure, ect. The only time these buttons on the side are designed to be used is if the remote’s batteries die, but they will work at other times if for some reason you need them.
What happens if I loose power? Does the Bio Bidet IB-835 still work?
While the bidet seat functions won’t work without power, the IB-835 will work like a standard toilet in the case of a power failure. Simply use the manual flush button on the side of the unit. Unlimited flushes even if your home looses power.
How can I make the IB-835 ADA compliant?
With a little doing, the IB-835 can be used with the Toilevator Grande to increase it’s overall height by 3.5 inches. The toilevator grande can be seen here: Toilevator GRANDE Toilet riser. In order to install the IB-835 with the toilevator grande, you will need to drill holes into the toilevator, and possibly put some spacers under the IB-835 mounting bracket.
How much does the Bio Bidet IB-835 bowl and seat weight?
The bowl portion of the Bio Bidet USPA IB-835 is 80 pounds, while the seat portion is 12.5 pounds, bringing the whole unit to 92.5 pounds.
Will the IB-835 be delivered into the house?
The Bio Bidet IB-835 comes with freight shipping which means it comes on a pallet (just like all the other integrated units) Because of this, delivering it into the home is not feasible. It will be delivered anywhere the pallet can be fit. Often a garage or a porch are popular options.
How do I handle a Bio Bidet IB-835 that arrives broken?
First, it’s important to note that receiving a broken IB-835 is fairly rare, and really only happens about 5% of the time. When this does happen it tends to be the bowl that cracks, and the crack tends to be very easy to see, as the unit tends to be falling apart in the box. Things to note about accepting delivery of any of our integrated units, the IB-835 included: Check for a cracked bowl while the driver is still there, and before you sign for the package. This will enable to you to not sign for it if broken, and allow us to quickly send you a new bowl. Should you not be able to check right when it’s delivered, make sure to check for cracks within 24 hours of delivery. Regardless of when you check for it, if you do see cracks, text pictures of the cracks, pallet, ect to 248-974-4030 along with your zip code so we can pull up your order and get a new bowl out to you asap.
