The TOTO Neorest 500H and TOTO Neorest 750H share many of the same great features, but the 750H features top of the line self-cleaning technology called Actilight. In addition, there are some notable differences between the two units in terms of build quality, looks, and price.

Looks:

The the 500H and the 750H differ most noticeably in terms of their looks. Whereas the 500H has smooth, rounded lines, the 750H looks every inch the luxurious unit that it is, with sleek, modern contours. An advantage to the 500H is that it is available in both beige and white, enabling it to fit seamlessly with any bathroom décor, while the 750H is available only in white. Users who like the look of the 750H but need a unit in beige may find that the Neorest 550H is a good alternative.

Self-Cleaning:

Unlike the 500H, the 750H boasts the state of the art Actilight technology, which uses a combination of Ultraviolet light, EWATER (sterilized water) and a special zirconium glaze baked into the bowl to break down anything left behind after use, thus creating an entirely self- cleaning unit.

Quality of Build:

The 500H differs significantly from the 750H in quality of build, though you’re unlikely to notice the difference unless you’re looking for it. While sturdy, the 500H features some plastic components. In contrast, the 750H is built exclusively out of high quality china.

Price:

Price is one of the biggest differentiating factors between these two units. The self-cleaning Actilight technology unique to the 750H, along with the unit’s quality build, means that the 750H comes with a higher price tag than the 500H.

Summary:

Both the 500H and 750H are excellent units with a wide variety of luxurious features.
