Can the TOTO Neorest be manually flushed during power outages?

This is a common question we get due to the fact that the Neorest line by TOTO uses a powerful pump to assist in the flushing process. Thankfully, TOTO does provide a manual flush option for their Neorest line which consists of a pull string that activates a flapper in the attachment that sits on the flange.  While this is a much weaker flush than you’d get with the pump assisted flush, it tends to do the trick for periods when power is out, and you just need to get the toilet flushed.
