Video 700H Unboxing Transcript:
Hello everyone! This is Daniel here with manybidets.com. We just had our TOTO Neorest 700H delivered and we’re gonna go out and take a look at it. We are installing one in the home in order to prepare for a review video. We’re gonna do unboxing videos, lots of great footage on the 700H.
It’s the top-selling integrated unit on the market and there’s not that much out there on it when it comes to video. So we’re gonna do a few for you so that you have a good idea of what’s available on it, how it looks, and give you a really good feel for it to help you decide if it’s the unit for you. Let’s go ahead and take a look.
So you can see in the background here it’s our 700H. Comes with two boxes, the top box has the seat in it the bottom box has the bowl unit. You can see the shrink-wrap, so the shrink-wrap is is wrapped around the whole unit. What we see here is the shrink-wrap taken off, and the reason for that is because of the fact that I checked it when it arrived. So because of the porcelain bowl, whenever you get a integrated unit from us we have them professionally packaged, but regardless, we recommend that you take it out of the shrink wrap and check it while UPS Freight is here. The reason behind that is that it gives you the ability to not sign for it if it’s broken, and allows us to file an insurance claim with UPS Freight and get you another one out same day. So we recommend checking the unit while UPS Freight is at your door.
You can see the straps that strapped it together so we cut those straps, we cut the shrink-wrap and then we we grabbed an exacto blade and cut the box. We’re gonna take a look more at the seat box here in a little bit, but let’s go ahead and start by focusing on the toilet portion. So because it comes in on a pallet and ups freight won’t take it off the pallet for you, they will deliver it to a garage, they’ll deliver it to a front porch, but they won’t deliver it into the home because the pallet makes it too large to deliver into the home. So keep that in mind. If you have a garage that’s full of cars and and other items make sure to clear some room if you want to in the garage or make sure you have a place for it to be sat down.
All right I’m gonna go ahead and take this in and I’ll be back once I do. As promised we’re gonna go ahead and take a look at the top portion of the total Neorest 700H. It’s a fantastic unit, we’re getting one installed in the home to do a review video on, but we’re gonna go ahead and unbox it real quick first.
Here we can see some of the installation hardware as well as the batteries for the remote we have some installation instructions and then a rather thick owner’s manual. If it’s like the other TOTO units, these are different languages, so we have three different owner’s manuals in three different languages. The wrapper here kind of backs that thought process up.
Let’s go ahead and take a look at the bottom side of the seat real quick. So there’s a area down here at the bottom you may or may not be able to see real well, but there’s a big hole down there. Right here I can stick my hand into it and that area is actually reserved for the space that the pump flush utilizes. The Neorest 700H has a pump assisted flush so this area down here is actually going to be taken up by part of that pump so we’ll kind of take a look at that when we look at the bowl portion, but let’s go ahead and get this unwrapped real quick so that we can get a better look at the seat as a whole.
Let’s go ahead and take a look at it again here real quick now that it’s out. So we can see a better shot at the hole in the back so that’s where the pump goes, which again we’ll look later. We can see the connectors up here for it. We can see buttons here on the side, those buttons are going to allow you to run the flush, the front, and the rear wash if the remote control dies. So we’re gonna put the seat away.
Now we’re gonna take a quick look at the wireless remote. One of the first things I noticed about the wireless remote was the fact that it felt very good in my hand. It feels like it’s actually made from a metal material instead of the plastic material that we see with other bidet seat remotes. So obviously we’re paying a higher price tag for the product but the remote does live up to expectations that you would expect with a premium product, which I was very happy to see.
You can see on the front of the remote we have all of the different options for your wash settings. Your nozzle positioning, your water pressure, and then of course, your user presets. Looking at the top of the remote we can control the flush volume, 3 being higher, 2 being lower, oscillation, pulsating, and drier. We also have the option on the top to open the seat. So the lid opens automatically when you enter the room but the seat will be opened at a press of the button for us guys. You’ve also probably noticed there is a magnetic wall mount included as well.
So we’ve taken a look at the front and the top of the remote, but let’s flip it over real quick. We can see that the magnetic wall mount comes off easily and we have an area for the batteries, as well as a menu/return button, a temperature button, and then arrows and an enter button, and then a screen that tells us what we’re selecting. When we run a review for the 700H, we’ll have batteries in the remote and we’ll walk through each of the features on the back here as well.
Let’s go ahead and take a look at the toilet bowl next. Alright everyone we are taking a look at the bowl portion of the Neorest 700H. Unlike most toilets, the 700H does not have a standard porcelain fitting that connects to the flange. So this will actually connect to the flange, and the toilet bowl will connect to this, so kind of a unique design. The mounting hardware is in here I believe. I know I said this would be an unboxing, but unboxing it due to the weight of the bowl was a little bit of a challenge so I did not decide to include that in the video.
Here is the back of the toilet. Look at all that hardware! So as we talked about, the 700H is a pump assisted flush, so you’ll notice there’s no water tank. That’s because it it controls the pump assisted flush with the pump that’s located here, so that’s what we’re looking at there. Let’s see if we can come around to this side. So you can see that hole there on the inside of the rim. The 700H has what’s called a tornado flush, so unlike other toilet bowls where you see little holes in the rim of the porcelain where the water comes out of, this bowl has a hole right here and you can see there’s a groove so the water actually comes out and goes in a swirling motion. It’s supposed to provide along with the pump a very powerful flush without using a lot of water. So that is how its set up. I will report back to let you know if it’s as successful as its supposed to be when we give chance to actually try it out.
Let’s go and take a look at this toilet bowl freestanding here. as you might recall when we looked at the bidet seat portion the the seat, portion we saw that the seat portion was a little bit unique in the respect that there was a big hole in the seat portion and again that is because of this hardware right here. That hardware actually is going to sit inside the seat so because of the space that the pump takes up, the seat needs an area designed specifically to house that and that’s what we see here.
Before we call this video good let’s take a quick look at the bottom of the bowl. So I’m gonna go ahead and flip this guy over here real quick, and see if we can get a good shot underneath. So that is where the flange would normally be and you can see how high up it is. So it’s high up because again that plastic piece actually is getting connected from the flange to the toilet.
It probably goes without saying but I’m gonna say it anyhow, we do recommend to install this with a plumber. We don’t recommend this being a home project of course if you want to give it a go there are there’s an instruction manual that comes with it and explains installation, but not our recommended step. We do recommend the use of a plumber when it comes to installing this guy. These holes back here are used for the mounting of the toilet. So there’s gonna be little mounting brackets that screw in right there so that’s how it’s going to be mounted.
That concludes our unboxing of the Neorest 700H by TOTO. Here you see the lid and the bowl put together. We will be doing more footage of the two together in a separate video, so stay tuned, don’t forget to subscribe to our YouTube channel for that video when it comes out! Like this video if it was helpful and check out our website: manybidets.com to see this and other similar units as well as bidet seats which sit on top of existing toilets. Thanks for watching and have a great day!
