What side of this seat does the cord come out of?
Both the seat's electrical cord, and water supply come out of the left hand side when facing the toilet.

How can you tell what settings are selected on the Brondell Swash since the remote does not have a screen?
Brondell Swash bidet seats have remotes that have LED lights on them, so while they don't have screens, the LED lights indicate what options are selected. Many of these LED lights that indicate temperature will change color based on the temperature selected.

Is there a battery powered version of this bidet?
Sadly this bidet does not have a battery operated version. This bidet requires too much power to realistically rely on a standard battery, as the electrical pull is too high. This bidet uses a standard 3 prong GFCI outlet.

What does this bidet seat come with? Do I need anything else for install?
This bidet seat comes with everything needed to install and operate the bidet seat on a normal toilet. If you have a skirted toilet and thus don't have access to the bottom side of the bolts that connect the toilet seat to the bowl, you may need additional hardware, which you can find below: Alt T connector: https://www.manybidets.com/product/bidet-t-valve-for-skirted-toilet/ Top Mounting kit: https://www.manybidets.com/product/swash-bidet-seat-top-mount-mounting-hardware/ If you have hard water, you may also consider pairing your seat with a carbon water filter, which can be found here: https://www.manybidets.com/product/water-filters/ If using the filters, you'll want to make sure to change them out every 6 to 9 months.

It was delivered a couple of weeks ago but I had to wait to have electrical outlet installed near the toilet by an electrician. I installed it last night and used it this AM. Very easy to install. I’m a Vietnam Vet and old shoulder wound made cleaning backside difficult. I wish I had gotten one of these years ago.

This bidet seat is especially a huge help to those of us who have chronic illness that causes frequent urinary tract infections. This particular model does everything. It gives you choice of temperature for the heated seat, water and fan. It has a deodorizing feature (which I don’t normally use) and a water filter. There are also variable positions and features for the water streams. I can’t think of one item (including a nightlight) for a bidet that this model doesn’t have. I am very pleased. I don’t ever have to use much toilet paper or wipes now. What a relief!

. I purchased the Brondell Swash 1400 and within 2 weeks it malfunctioned. The spray nozzle did not retract completely into the seat after use. The plug needs to be pulled to retract the nozzle, however the nozzle malfunctions again on the next use. Brondell is sending me a replacement seat and I will send back the original. It is frustrating that I have to take time to redo the installation and mail the defective seat back. At this point in time seat quality is less than adequate. I will provide another review after the new seat is in service for a period of time. (90 days)

We love the Swash 1400. We had only used Totos up to buying the Swash. The Swash was more affordable and had just as many or as good of features as the Toto without the extreme cost. We like the nightlight and the different adjustable functions. Soft close lid is really nice as well as the fan. We only have a couple of things we’ve noticed on it though. On the highest water temp setting, the water will get HOT!! Also, after you push the remote button for water spray, it takes about 5 seconds before the water begins to spray. You end up waiting for it. The Totos were instant. Install was easy. Make sure you have the remote positioned Exactly where you want it if you’re using the double stick tape that comes on the remote base. Because once you stick it to the wall, it’s there to stay. We ended up peeling some of the paint and wallboard off when we needed it repositioned. Make sure it’s far enough forward to use comfortably. Other than that, it’s a great unit.

We bought 3 1400’s. They all work as they should. Seat is always warm even in middle of night. Night light is good and always on. Very good and cleans the person well. I move the nozzle around and it is super. I have a bad shoulder and it was difficult with the toilet paper, this is perfect. Thanks for all your help and service.
