This is a common question we get due to the fact that the Neorest line by TOTO uses a powerful pump to assist in the flushing process. Thankfully, TOTO does provide a manual flush option for their Neorest line which consists of a pull string that activates a flapper in the attachment that sits on the flange.  While this is a much weaker flush than you'd get with the pump assisted flush, it tends to do the trick for periods when power is out, and you just need to get the toilet flushed.

To be ADA compliant, a toilet has to have a seated height of at least 17 inches.  The TOTO Neorest is ADA compliant and offers a seated height of more than 17 inches, allowing it to meet these requirements.

Sadly this bidet does not have a battery operated version. This bidet requires too much power to realistically rely on a standard battery, as the electrical pull is too high. This bidet uses a standard 3 prong GFCI outlet.

While all TOTO products used to be made in Japan, but as time has gone on, TOTO has varied the location they produce products to help keep costs down. Because people are often drilling into tile or concrete when installing a Neorest in a bathroom, this is a fairly common question we receive. If you're only buying 1 drill bit, and it's for this job you'll want to pick us a 5/16th drill bit. When drilling the hole, you'll need to make sure its sunk 2 1/8" down. Other questions?
