Detailed comparison of the Brondell Swash 1200 vs Brondell Swash 1400 bidet seats

When it comes to bidet seats, both of these units are great for their price point. The Brondell Swash 1400 is a top of the line seat that’s hard to beat, while the Swash 1200 offers great features for the price despite having a few less of them. Below we’ll go through the features missing in the Swash 1200 in a bit more detail.

Look And Feel

Multiple Color options

When it comes to offering colors other than white, most brands only offer them on the most premium of seats. The dye used to make colored seats (beige or biscuit) is anything but cheap, and offering these colors on lower end products makes it hard to continue having a profit on these seats. Brondell is in that same boat. Want off white? You’ll need to pay more.

Convenience

Deodorizer

Bidet seats deodorize by pulling air through a carbon filter using a powerful fan. The Swash 1200 does not offer this feature, while the Swash 1400 does. If an odor free bathroom experience isn’t a must for you, the Swash 1200 might just fit the bill.

Warm Air Dry

The Swash 1400 offers warm air dry that can be adjusted depending on how powerful you want the dryer to be. The Swash 1200 on the other hand does not. If you’re looking for a totally hands free experience, you might want to consider an upgrade to the Swash 1400

Wash

Nozzle Sterilization

While not a necessity, nozzle sterilization is nice to have. While you’ll miss out on this feature should you decide on the Swash 1200, the Swash 1400 offers state of the art nozzle sterilization by using silvernano technology. This is the same technology used by surgeons to sterilize their tools before a surgery. Nozzle sterilization at it’s finest

Nozzle Oscillation

For those looking to cover a larger area, Nozzle oscillation is a must have. This feature coupled with the Brondell Swash 1400’s wide stream option means the most coverage of any seat on the market. Choosing the Swash 1200 instead means missing out on this feature.

Other Differences

Warranties

It stands to reason that a higher end seat offers a better warranty. The Brondell Swash 1400 comes with a 3 year warranty, which is upgradable to 5, while the Swash 1200 comes with a 1 year warranty, which can be upgraded to 3.

Final Thoughts

No surprise, there’s a clear winner here… Despite the extra money, we recommend the Brondell Swash 1400. The improved warranty, deodorizer and nozzle oscillation makes this one a no brainer.
