Silver nano sterilization systems use silver nanoparticle technology to keep the wash water clean. This method coats the bidet’s interior components with a silver nano solution. The ions in the silver weaken, kill and stop the division of bacteria to ensure that the wash water stays clean as it passes through the unit. Silver nano sterilization works overtime, keeping the internals microbe-free even when the bidet isn’t in use.

Ultraviolet (UV) sterilization exposes the wash water to UV light to kill any microorganisms (including bacteria, viruses and fungi) that may be lurking within. UV light refers to a type of electromagnetic radiation with a unique wavelength that disrupts microorganisms’ genetic material. UV sterilization has been shown to be highly effective at killing microorganisms and is used to disinfect drinking water and medical equipment.

EWATER+ is available exclusively on TOTO’s high-end bidet seats and integrated bidet toilets. EWATER+ (electrolyzed water) is created by applying a small electrical charge to the wash water, triggering a simple chemical reaction that sterilizes it. In addition to using the electrolyzed water to rinse the nozzles, TOTO bidets mist the bowl after each use to prevent bacteria from building up in the toilet.
