Luxury Bidet on a Budget: Blooming R1570 Bidet Seat Expert Review
Looking for high-end bidet features without breaking the bank? The Blooming R1570 delivers premium functionality at a fraction of the price of other luxury bidet seats. But is there a catch? Read on and watch the video below for our expert take.
The Blooming R1570 comes equipped with all the features you’d expect from a quality electric bidet seat: customizable front and rear wash modes, an adjustable-temperature heated seat, a built-in nightlight and more. It also has an automatically opening lid – a surprising extra you’ll usually only find on seats two or three times its price. The R1570 lacks some of the refinement you’ll see in higher-end bidet seats, but it offers a lot of perks for its relatively modest price.

Auto Opening
The R1570’s lid opens as you approach the toilet for an unexpected touch of luxury and convenience. When you’re done, walk away and the lid automatically closes after one minute. If you decide you don’t like this feature (or if you want to sit on the lid – more on that later), simply hold down the “AUTO COVER” button on the remote to turn auto opening off.
If you still want a touch-free experience but don’t love auto opening, you can open and close the lid using the “AUTO COVER” button on the remote. You can even raise and lower the seat hands-free by pressing the “SEAT” button.
Wash and Dry Features
Wash quality is arguably the most important feature of a bidet, and the R1570 gives you lots of options. It has a good pressure range with five levels to choose from. The range is similar to the customer-favorite (and slightly pricier) Eco NOVA, but shifted toward the gentler side: the low end is lower, and the high end isn’t quite as high. If you prefer a super high-pressure wash, you might not love the R1570, but it has plenty of power to get the job done.
The water temperature range is also solid, with unlimited warm washing and three temperature settings. A highly adjustable nozzle position and optional nozzle oscillation (activated by pressing the wash button a second time) make sure you get the spray in the right place without having to move your body. The massage wash is an added bonus: it alternates the water pressure between high and low to ease tension or stimulate a bowel movement.
A warm air dryer continues the R1570’s hands-free trend. Like other bidet dryers, it takes a good four to five minutes to get you fully dry, but five temperature settings make it a super comfortable experience.
Other Standout Features
Auto Clean
The auto clean feature lets you get clean and dry with one button press. It starts a one-minute oscillating wash followed by a one-minute dry cycle with the water pressure and temperature, nozzle position and dryer temperature set to medium. This is a great feature for bidet newbies or people with cognitive limitations.
Sittable Lid
The strong sittable lid safely supports up to 300 pounds. Unlike many automatically opening seats, you can use the R1570’s lid as a seat without damaging your bidet. If you have balance challenges or like to have a stable spot in the bathroom to sit and get dressed, clip toenails or help someone in the tub, this is a huge perk. Just make sure you turn off the auto open feature before you sit down!
Downsides
seats, so it might look a little bulky on your toilet.
The R1570 has a lot going for it, but it won’t be perfect for everyone. It’s taller at the back at 5.9 inches, so it’s not as sleek as some pricier seats and has less sittable space. Larger users might find it a bit cramped or uncomfortable compared to slimmer options.
It also has less noise refinement: the deodorizer is a little loud, and the wash gets a little noisy at its maximum settings. And the R1570 is only available in an elongated shape, so if you have a round toilet, you’ll need to look at other options.
Finally, while the remote is pretty intuitive, the nozzle adjustment arrows can be a little confusing if you have it mounted to the left of your toilet since the front and back arrows will look reversed. This is a pretty nitpicky critique, but we want to give you all the behind-the-scenes details.
Is the Blooming R1570 right for you?
You might love the R1570 if you:
- Want the convenience of an automatically opening lid that’s also sittable
- Aren’t super concerned about aesthetics and are OK with a bulkier seat
- Don’t mind the deodorizer and high-pressure washes being a little noisier compared to high-end seats
The bottom line? The R1570 offers a great cleansing experience with a bit of “wow” factor at a lower price than you’d normally pay for luxury features.
