Detailed Comparison of the Bio Bidet A7 and the Brondell Swash SE400 Bidet Seats.

If you are looking to add a bidet seat to your home and are shopping on a budget, you will definitely want to check out these two bidet seats. The Bio Bidet A7 and Brondell Swash SE400 offer some great, basic luxury features at an affordable price so you can add comfort and convenience to your bathroom. Below, we go through the details and differences between these two models for your consideration.

Design

The Bio Bidet A7 and Brondell Swash SE400 are well crafted with quality materials and both are made with an attractive, contemporary design. You will notice that both of these seats have slim  panels attached to the right side of the unit for conveniently controlling the unit. Worth noting, the A7 offers LED lighting on it’s control panel, which lets the operator cleary see their chosen options. Both of these seats come in a clean white color and are each available in an elongated seat style, however, the Swash SE400 also can be purchased in a round style if necessary.

Warm Air Dryer

This is a very valuable feature that is not often an option on budget bidet seats, however, the Swash SE400 does include this convenient function. A warm air dryer allows you to eliminate expensive and scratchy toilet paper from your bathroom routine. Not only will you be adopting a more eco-friendly bathroom habit by using less paper, you will also save money. Even more importantly, the air dryer is a must have for those with disabilities, injuries, coordination issues, and problems with dexterity. If you have trouble wiping due to a certain condition, using toilet paper will only exaggerate your struggles and could even lead to further health issues if you are not properly cleaning yourself. Because of the convenience it adds, the warm dryer will certainly add peace of mind for a wide range of individuals. The A7 unfortunately does not have a warm air dryer.

Wash

Water Flow

A bidet seat’s rate of water flow gives an indication of what sort of water strength you will be getting. The higher the water flow rate, the stronger the water stream, which results in a more powerful and faster wash cycle. The Swash SE400 has a flow rate of 0.11 gallons per minute, while A7’s flow rate is a bit higher at 0.18 gallons per minute. Consequently, you can expect a slightly more powerful wash experience from the Bio Bidet A7.  Furthermore, a stronger water flow can be beneficial for those who struggle with bowel or urinary incontinence, since a powerful stream can help clean up accidental messes quickly and efficiently.

Wide Spray

This is a nice wash option that sprays a wider stream of water and provides additional coverage for your sensitive areas. Similar to a high water flow rate, the wide spray function also can speed up the cleansing process and be a worthwhile option for those with incontinence issues.

Other Details

One Button Wash & Dry

This is a great feature for those who may be intimidated by programming and dealing with the multiple wash settings that a bidet seat offers. The Swash SE400 offers this convenient feature so that you can have an automatic wash and dry with just the touch of a button. This has also been known to be a very helpful and valuable function for those of a elderly age who want to benefit from using a bidet seat, but are looking for additional ease and simplicity. The A7 does offer a great one button automatic wash function, but unfortunately there is no drying feature.

User Presets

This is an excellent option to have if you will be sharing your bidet seat with another household member. Through user presets, you have the ability to pre-program your favorite settings into the control panel so the bidet seat can perform your personal wash options without you having to reconfigure it with every use. The A7 comes equipped with this convenient feature and allows for you to set presets for up to two users.

Warranty

For the A7 and Swash SE400, both Bio Bidet and Brondell offer full one year warranties, however, when it comes to extended coverage, the Bio Bidet company excels. If you are looking to add additional insurance for your purchase, Bio Bidet offers an upgrade to an impressive 6 year full warranty. There is no warranty upgrade available for the Swash SE400.
