Alternatively, the BG-90/93 comes equipped with twin, stainless steel nozzles, with one nozzle dedicated to the front wash and one to the rear wash. The nozzles on both seat models are self cleaning and feature oscillation and massage functions for added comfort.
In comparing the nozzle materials for these two seats, stainless steel is definitely a preferable material over plastic due to its hygienic properties. Stainless steel naturally repels germs and prevents bacteria build up, which helps keep your toilet safe and clean. For added sanitation, the BG-90/93 nozzles also have the ability to perform a special silver-nano sterilization process.
If you are looking for a unit with a little extra water pressure, the BB-1000 has an impressive water flow rate of 0.32 gallons per minute, one of the highest rates of any seat currently made. A higher flow rate results in a more powerful wash and ultimately a faster cleaning process. The BG-90/93 has a more standard water flow of 0.18 gallons per minute, but this rate still provides ample pressure for a satisfactory wash. Additionally the BG-90/93 includes a water booster pump if a more powerful wash is desired.
The BB-1000 comes equipped with a tank style water heater that will produce about 60 seconds of warm water before needing to refill and reheat. It then takes around 3 to 5 minutes for the refilling process to take place. Alternatively, the BG-90/93 comes with a hybrid style heater that works by filling and heating a tank in real time, which supplies water for the wash cycle on demand. The hybrid style heater is a slightly more improved option over the basic tank system and can provide up to 90 seconds of warm water at once.
One Button Wash & Dry is a great option for those who may be intimidated by multiple programming options, or for those who prefer not to mess with different settings with each use. This automatic function, which is included on the BG-90/93, gives you a basic wash and dry at the touch of button and ensures a simple and convenient experience. This feature has also been reported to be an excellent option for older users who appreciate having the extra simplicity for their bathroom routine while still benefiting from using the bidet seat. The BB-1000 does not offer the automatic wash & dry function.
This is a high quality wash option that’s included on the BB-1000, and it’s a must have feature if you or someone in your household suffers from constipation. The BB-1000 utilizes Bio Bidet’s patented vortex technology, which produces a powerful, circular stream of water that is sprayed into the rectum. This helps to loosen stool and stimulate bowel movements, therefore providing relief and comfort to those who suffer from frequent constipation. Unfortunately this feature does not come with the BG-90/93.
For those who have young children in the home, The BG-90/93 comes with an added child safety feature for extra security and peace of mind. When the child mode function is in use, the water pressure, temperature and dryer are automatically lowered to better accommodate a young person. The BB-1000 does not offer any sort of child mode.
In regards to controlling and programming the bidet seat, both of these seats offer something a little different than a standard remote. The BB-1000 comes with a panel style control system that is actually the largest wireless remote on the bidet seat market today. This large, panel style remote is a terrific option for those who may struggle with dexterity issues or those with physical limitations that require the use of their feet to operate the remote. This remote can also be mounted to the wall for further convenience and accessibility. In contrast, the BG-90/93 includes a slim side control that is attached to the edge of the seat for easy operation during use.
Between these two companies, Bio Bidet is a step ahead with its generous warranty options. When purchasing the BB-1000, one has the option to choose between a limited 3 year warranty or upgrade to a 6 year full warranty for extra insurance. Kohler does apply a 1 year full warranty to the BG-90/93, but they only offer a 3 year full warranty upgrade for those who want additional coverage.
When it comes to choosing between the BB-1000 and BG-90/93, it’s important to consider which features would be most valuable to you and your household. With the BB-1000 you get a powerful enema wash and incredible water pressure, but on the other hand, the BG-90/93 is equipped with a one button wash & dry, child mode and stainless steel nozzles. Regardless of your feature preferences, each of these seats have great wash options that will upgrade your bathroom, and they also come in at an affordable price point.
