Detailed Comparison of the Bio Bidet BB-2000 and Brondell Swash 1000 Bidet Toilet Seats
If you are considering adding a bidet seat to your bathroom, chances are you have come across the Brondell and Bio Bidets brands. Throughout this compare, we will go through the specific details that differentiate these two popular luxury seat models so you can choose the best option for your household.
Look & Feel
Both of these seats are beautifully crafted with top quality materials to bring luxury, comfort and convenience to your bathroom. You will find a similar, sleek and attractive design aesthetic on both of these models and either one would certainly be a wonderful addition to your home. Both of these seat models come in a classic white color as well as beige (BB-2000) which at this time has been discontinued, and biscuit (Swash-1000) if you are looking for an off-white color to match your decor. Additionally, both the BB-2000 and Swash 1000 are made to fit elongated toilets.
Wash
Nozzles
The Bio Bidet BB-2000 comes equipped with a single, 3-in-1 nozzle that performs the model’s three wash options: front (feminine), rear, and enema. In comparison, the Brondell Swash 1000 comes with dual nozzles with one nozzle dedicated to the front wash and the other to the rear wash. The nozzles on both of these seats are constructed from stainless steel, which is an ideal material due to its hygienic, germ and bacteria resistant properties. Furthermore, both models’ nozzles rinse themselves after each use, and the Swash 1000 offers an additional nozzle sterilization process using a sanitizing silver-nano solution.
Water Heater
Both the Bio Bidet BB-2000 and the Brondell Swash 1000 provide unlimited warm wash water, but they do so in different ways. The BB-2000 features a hybrid heater that’s essentially a mash-up of a tank and instant system. There’s always a small tank of warm water on hand, so there’s consistently warm water from the get-go. Then, once the tank depletes, the instant heater kicks on and begins heating the water on demand. The instant heaters on some hybrid systems aren’t powerful enough to keep up with the seat’s water flow, meaning the water eventually turns cool. That’s not the case with the BB-2000, which has a powerful instant heating element and genuinely provides unlimited warm water. In comparison, the Swash 1000 has a ceramic water heater that warms the water on demand from start to finish. While this method is a bit more energy efficient than a hybrid heater, there’s the possibility of a quick burst of cool water at the start of the wash.
Water Flow
The water flow rate of a bidet seat gives an indication of what sort of water pressure and strength you will be getting. The higher the flow rate, the stronger the water stream will be. Therefore, a stronger water stream will create a faster, more effective wash. The Brondell Swash 1000 has a flow rate of 0.1 gallons per minute, while the BB-2000’s flow rate is nearly twice as high at 0.18 gallons per minute. Consequently, you can expect a slightly more powerful wash experience with the BB-2000 seat.
Enema Wash
If you or someone in your household suffers from frequent constipation, the enema wash function is a must-have feature. The enema wash offered by the BB-2000 utilizes Bio Bidet’s patented vortex technology and sprays a powerful, circular stream of water into the rectum. This helps stimulate bowel movements and provides relief from uncomfortable constipation.
Wide Spray
Wide spray, which is available on the Brondell Swash 1000, is a really nice feature if you are looking to get a little more coverage from your water stream. The wide spray can also speed up the wash process, so you can get clean and on your way a bit faster. Although the Bio Bidet BB-2000 does not have a wide spray feature, it’s higher water flow rate does partially compensate for this.
Pulse Wash
Pulse washing is a nice feature offered by the Bio Bidet BB-2000, which alternates between a hard and soft stream. This creates a massaging and soothing wash that provides extra comfort to sensitive areas and helps stimulate bowel movements. The Brondell Swash 1000 does not offer a pulse wash.
Comfort & Convenience
One Button Wash & Dry
The Bio Bidet BB-2000 features one button washing and drying, which adds convenience to your bathroom routine and is perfect for users who simply don’t want to mess with multiple buttons and settings every time they use the toilet. The one button wash & dry button initiates an automatic, one touch wash and dry cycle that and is especially helpful for older individuals or those who have limited mobility. The Brondell Swash 1000 does not include a one button wash & dry.
LED Night Light
An LED nightlight is a convenient feature for those who make frequent nighttime trips to the restroom. The Bio Bidet BB-2000 offers the LED night light function that provides a nice, soft illumination that won’t blind you in the middle of the night.
Sittable Lid
While most of us may assume that a sittable toilet seat lid is a standard feature, this is actually a rarity when it comes to bidet seats due to the technologically advanced hardware they contain. The Brondell Swash 1000 is a step ahead of the competition as it offers a convenient sittable lid that can hold up to 270 pounds. This great feature is ideal for those who like to sit on the lid for activities like clipping and painting toenails.
