Detailed Comparison of the Bio Bidet Bliss BB-2000 and Kohler Novita BH-90/93 Bidet Toilet Seats
The Bio Bidet BB-2000 and Kohler Novita BH-90/93 are two luxury class bidet seats that combine style and function in order to improve your overall bathroom experience. Below, we discuss in detail the differences between these two seats so you can feel confident deciding which one is best for you.
Design
The Bio Bidet BB-2000 and Kohler Novita BH-90/93 are each crafted with quality materials and are designed to provide a high level of comfort and convenience. Stylistically, these two seats have elegant, modern designs that would look great with any bathroom decor.
Both the Bio Bidet BB-2000 andKohler Novita BH-90/93 are made in a classic white color. While both of the seats come in elongated styles, the BH-90/93 additionally has a round style option and recently the BB-2000 is now offered in a round style. The BH-90 represents the elongated version of the bidet and the BH-93 represents the round version.
Wash Features
Water Heaters
Both the Bio Bidet BB-2000 and the Kohler Novita BH-90/93 provide unlimited warm wash water, but they accomplish this differently. The BB-2000 features a hybrid heater that combines a tank and instant system. In other words, there’s always a small tank of warm water on hand so that the wash water is warm from the very beginning. Then, once the tank depletes, the instant heater kicks on and begins heating the water on demand. The instant heaters on some hybrid systems aren’t powerful enough to keep up with the seat’s water flow, meaning the water eventually turns cool. That’s not the case with the BB-2000, which has a powerful instant heating element and genuinely provides unlimited warm water. In comparison, the Kohler Novita BH-90/93 has a ceramic water heater that warms the water on demand from start to finish. While this method is a bit more energy efficient than a hybrid heater, there’s the possibility of a quick burst of cool water at the start of the wash.
Nozzles
Although they differ in design, both the Kohler Novita BH-90/93 and the Bio Bidet BB-2000 come equipped with high-quality, hygienic, stainless steel nozzles. The Kohler Novita BH-90/93 seat includes dual nozzles with one nozzle dedicated to the front wash and one to the rear wash. Alternatively, the BB-2000 has a single nozzle with 3-in-1 functionality, meaning just the one nozzle provides all three main washes (front, rear and enema). Aside from offering these main wash options, the nozzles on both these seat models are adjustable and include an oscillating wash as well as pulse wash. Pulse wash, which works by alternating between hard and soft water streams, creates a soothing massage. This comforting wash cycle can stimulate bowel movements and is effective for cleansing sensitive areas. It’s also worth mentioning that the BH-90/93 offers silver-nano nozzle sterilization as well as an integrated ion water filter.
Water Flow
A bidet seat’s water flow rate determines the overall strength of the water stream. The Kohler Novita BH-90/93 has a rate of 0.14 gallons per minute and the rate of the Bio Bidet BB-2000 is twice as fast, at 0.32 per minute. the benefit of a stronger water flow rate is a faster, more effective cleansing.
Enema Wash
The enema wash feature, which the BB-2000 comes equipped with, is a must have option for those who suffer from chronic constipation. The BB-20000 utilizes Bio Bidet’s patented, state of the art vortex technology for one of the most powerful and effective enema washes on the market today. This function works to provide relief by forcing a circular stream of water into the rectum, which loosens stool and can stimulate bowel movements. The BH-90/93 unfortunately does not have an enema wash feature, but it does offer a powerful turbo clean option as well as the above mentioned pulse wash that can also help stimulate bowel movements
Comfort & Convenience
Auto Open Lid
Probably one of the most unique and impressive features on the Kohler Novita BH-90/93 is its automatic opening and closing lid. The lid can be programmed to automatically open whenever someone approaches the seat or you can choose open it at the touch of a button. Not only does this increase convenience, but it also promotes hygiene by offering a totally hands-free experience. The Bio Bidet BB-2000 does not include an auto open lid, but it does have a soft-closing lid that prevents accidental slamming.
Remotes
The Kohler Novita BH- 90/93 includes a horizontally set, panel style remote control that features a screen for choosing your different wash and dry options. In contrast, The BB-2000 comes with a vertical, hand-held style, push button remote that is also equipped with a screen. In comparing the functionality of these two control systems, the BB-2000 remote has a more intuitive and design and is a little simpler to operate than the BH-90/93’s remote. For convenient access, both of these remotes can be mounted to the wall.
Warranty
When it comes to extended coverage, Bio Bidet is a step ahead of the competition. Bio Bidet offers a full 3 years of coverage as their standard warranty, and you can extend that to 6 full years if desired. On the other hand, Kohler offers a 1 year full warranty that can be upgraded to a 3 year full warranty. If you prefer the extra coverage and peace of mind, Bio Bidet is a great company to work with.
Final Thoughts
Both these bidet seats offer some great features. If you are looking for a completely hands-free experience and you like to keep up with the latest technology, you may prefer the high-tech auto open lid that the Kohler Novita BH-90/93 offers. Alternatively, it’s hard to go wrong with the Bio Bidet BB-2000 and all its great features like the enema wash and easy to use remote. In the end, whether you choose one of the other will depend on your personal preferences and the needs of your household.
