Not only are the BB-2000 and BB-1700 bidet seats both from Bio Bidet, but they also come from the same “Bliss” line. Because of this, they are very similar to one another. Despite this, we’ll break down the similarities and differences below.
What are the differences between the Bliss BB-2000 Bidet Seat and the Bliss BB-1700 Bidet Seat?
Controls
The controls are one of the main differences between the Bio Bidet BB-2000 and the Bio Bidet BB-1700 bidet seats. The Bliss BB-2000 bidet seat comes with a wireless remote that offers either a black or white option. This remote comes with a screen that details out practically everything you could possibly want to know about the wash you’re experiencing, from wash temperature to seat temperature to wash pressure to the wash type chosen and much more. The buttons on this remote are raised and for the most part very self-explanatory. The mount used for this wireless remote allows the controller to sit on the wall, or be held in hand on a use by use basis. The Bio Bidet Bliss BB-1700 bidet seat uses a side control option, which ensures that the controls never get lost, but is a bit harder to reach as one has to turn and look down to see the options available to them. Along with this, the BB-1700 does not have a screen, so it lacks the detail regarding the wash that you’ll see with the BB-2000 bidet seat.
Night Light
While the Bio Bidet BB-2000 sports a night light, the BB-1700 does not. The reason for this comes from the fact that the night light on the BB-2000 resides where the side control is on the BB-1700. Deal breaker? Not really, but it’s worth noting.
How are the Bliss BB-2000 Bidet Seat and the Bliss BB-1700 Bidet Seat the same?
Practically everything about these units are the same. Lets talk about some of the highlights below.
Water Flow & Pressure
First and foremost, we need to talk about water flow and pressure. These are areas that the Bliss series by Bio Bidet excels in. With a 0.18 gallons per minute flow rate, these units far surpass the industry average which comes in closer to .11 to .15 gallons per minute. These may seem like small figures but they make a huge difference. Due to this reason alone, we’ve found the Bliss series by Bio bidet to be one of the best on the market.
Nozzles
Bio Bidet Bliss Nozzle Setup |
Both Bliss models: BB-2000 BB-1700 offer the same three in one nozzle. Because these seats have a single nozzle, it’s able to be perfectly centered. However, due to the patented nozzle tip, it’s still able to offer all the functions seen in other seats with stellar performance. This one of a kind nozzle tip offers a powerful front and rear wash, and also offers a powerful enema wash, with a patented “vortex” stream, that gives it more power and efficiency than any of the other enema washes on the market today. The tip is also easily replaceable, which eliminates the problem of mineral build up in the seat. Instead of needing to send the seat in for repair when the nozzle gets clogged, simply replace it. The way the bliss series handles nozzle propulsion is also very different, using a belt to move the nozzle forward and backwards. This allows for precision micro adjustments that other seats just can’t match.
Hybrid Water Heating System
Both the Bio Bidet Bliss seats offer a hybrid heater. This rare heater design uses a combination of a water tank heater and an instant water heater that fills the tank in real time. This allows the wash to pull from the tank at all times, offering consistency of temperature through the duration of the wash, while still offering unlimited warm water due to the instant water heater. Not all hybrid heaters provide unlimited warm water, but the hybrid systems on the BB-2000 and BB-1700 do.
Washes Available
The Bio Bidet BB-2000 and the Bio Bidet BB-1700 offer a plethora of wash options. As already discussed, the both of these seats offer front and rear wash, as well as a powerful enema wash. They both offer massage and pulsing washes, oscillating wash, wide wash and more. The water stream for any of these washes are infused with air bubbles to offer not only a more sensitive wash, but also a more complete wash that cleans better than one without these bubbles. This is known as aeration.
Warm Air Dryer
The Bliss series by Bio Bidet offers a powerful warm air dryer that drys you after a wash in a matter of minutes. These air dryers also offer multiple temperature settings that can be controlled base on desire or need.
Deodorizer
The Bliss series by Bio Bidet uses a powerful fan to pull the air from the toilet bowl through a filter filled with active carbon. This filter absorbs the odor allowing you bathroom trips to be odor free.
Toilet Compatibility
The Bio Bidet BB-2000 and the BB-1700 bidet seats both will fit on any elongated toilet. At this point in time, the BB-2000 is offered in a round style. If using a riser or grab bars/toilet arms, you’ll want to consider the BB-2000 over the BB-1700 as it will fit better, as the side control can get in the way.
Weight Limit
While the weight limit on most bidet seats is 300 pounds the Bio Bidet Bliss series supports a whopping 400 pounds, making it a great option for those on the heavy side. While either the BB-2000 or the BB-1700 will support 400 pounds, we recommend the BB-2000 as larger individuals will find it hard to reach the controls on the BB-1700 bidet seat.
Warranty
The warranty offered by Bio Bidet on both the Bliss BB-2000 and the Bliss BB-1700 bidet seats is top of the line. Either of these come with a full 3 year warranty that covers 100% of parts labor ect, with the ability to upgrade to a full 6 year warranty. Couple this with Bio Bidet’s top of the line customer service, and you’ve got a winning combination.
