Detailed Comparison of the Blooming Bidet R1063 and Brondell Swash 1000 Bidet Toilet Seats
If you are looking to upgrade your bathroom to a spa-like experience, adding a bidet seat is a wonderful place to start. With so many options and features to consider, it can sometimes be overwhelming to find the best product for you and your family. Below we go through the details and specific differences between these popular bidet seats in order to help you make an informed decision.
Look and Feel
The Blooming Bidet R1063 and Brondell Swash 1000 are two classy, feature packed seats that will certainly upgrade any bathroom. If you are looking for a more modern and sleek look, the Swash 1000 seat has a very smooth and streamlined appearance, while the beveled edge on the Blooming R1063 gives it a classic look. Both bidet seats come in round and elongated options and also in a classic white color. If you are looking for an off-white option to match your decor, the Brondell Swash 1000 is also available in the color “biscuit”.
It is also worth mentioning that the Blooming R1063 is one of the more versatile seats on the market today and comfortably fits both one and two piece toilets. It also fits well on French curve toilets such as the Kohler Rialto, San Raphael and Rosario models, which won’t accommodate most other bidet seats.
Wash Features
Nozzles
Nozzle style is one noticeable difference between these two seat models. While the Blooming R1063 comes equipped with a single, 2-in-1 aluminum nozzle, the Brondell Swash 1000 includes dual stainless steel nozzles. In the bidet world, stainless steel is considered the superior material for nozzles due to its bacteria and germ resisting properties, making it the more hygienic choice.
The Blooming R1063’s single wand comes equipped with two nozzles which each perform a wash function: one for the feminine front wash and the other for the rear wash. In comparison, on the Brondell Swash 1000, one whole wand and nozzle is dedicated to the front wash and the other wand and nozzle provides the rear wash. Additionally, the Swash 1000 offers extra nozzle sanitation with its silver-nano sterilization process, which can be performed on command via the remote control.
Water flow
The rate that water flows through the nozzle effects how powerful the water stream will be and therefore impacts the effectiveness of the wash. The Swash 1000 has a fairly standard water rate of 0.11 gallons per minute, while the R1063 has a stronger flow rate of 0.18 gallons per minute. In this case, the water stream on R1063 will provide a bit more pressure and subsequently a more powerful and faster cleaning process compared to the Swash 1000.
One Button Wash & Dry
One of the great features offered by the R1063 is the convenient one button wash & dry function. This is an ideal feature for those who want to benefit from using a bidet seat but may be intimidated by all the buttons and wash options. The one button wash & dry is also a great option for elderly users who require the added simplicity and convenience of this automatic feature.
Wide Spray
Wide spray is a nice feature for those looking for more water coverage during the wash cycle.
The Swash 1000 has a wide spray function that is adjustable to different widths for added comfort and can provide a more efficient and thorough cleansing. Although the R1063 does not offer a wide spray option, its higher water flow rate (discussed above), does partially compensate for the lack of this feature.
Comfort and Convenience
Lid
One of the defining differences between these seats is that the Brondell Swash 1000 comes equipped with a sittable lid while the Blooming R1063 does not. Remarkably, a sittable lid is a rare feature for a bidet seat due to the advanced hardware and wires that are stored within the seat. The Swash 1000’s sittable lid is generously built to accommodate 270 lbs and is a convenient feature for those who like to sit on the toilet lid for activities like clipping and painting toenails. In contrast, you’ll want to stay off the Blooming R1063’s lid as sitting on it can cause it to crack.
Deodorizer
To keep your bathroom smelling fresh and clean, the Brondell Swash 1000 offers an activated carbon deodorizer. When the toilet is in use, the deodorizer works by pulling air through its filter, neutralizing odors. Unfortunately, the Blooming R1063 does not come equipped with a deodorizer.
LED Night Light
An LED night light, like the one that comes on the Blooming R1063, is a really nice feature for those who appreciate soft illumination in the bathroom for those night time visits. This conveniently eliminates the need to turn on any blinding lights and helps users navigate to the toilet in safety. The Brondell Swash 1000 does not have this feature.
Remotes
The Brondell Swash 1000 includes a push button remote with an illumination feature that intuitively displays chosen options. On the other hand, the Blooming R1063 actually gives you the option to choose a small, standard size remote or large size remote. Both remote options for the R1063 have push buttons for selecting functions and are wall-mountable for convenience. Given its design and layout, the large size remote is a great option for those who have disabilities or dexterity issues, since it can be a bit easier operate.
Other Details
Warranty
For those who appreciate the added insurance of extended warranty coverage, Brondell is a step ahead of its competition. For the Swash 1000, Brondell offers a 3 year limited warranty, but also gives the option to upgrade to a 5 year full warranty for added coverage. Alternatively, Blooming Bidet does offer a 3 year full warranty for the R1063, but there is no option to extend the warranty.
Final Thoughts
Choosing your perfect bidet seat will depend on which options are most important to you and your family. Both of these seat models feature wonderful wash options that will surely improve and add comfort to your bathroom routine, and whether you prefer one over the other ultimately comes down to your personal needs.
