Detailed Comparison of the Brondell Swash 1400 bidet seat and Blooming R1063 bidet seat
Look and Feel
Multiple Color Options
It costs companies quite a bit to produce bidet units in multiple colors, so you often see only one color choice in all but the fanciest models. The Swash 1400 is one of Brondell’s most luxurious units, and as such it comes in two color choices, white and off-white. This makes it much easier for users to match their existing bathroom color scheme without having to replace fixtures or live with mismatched colors. The Blooming R1063 is only available in white, so it’s not your best bet if having an off-white unit is one of your must-have features.
Hiding Connections
The Blooming R1063, like most bidet seats, leaves its electrical and hose connections out in the open, which means that they’re visible to users. Seeing these is definitely not the end of the world, but wouldn’t it be nice to have a way to tuck them out of sight? The engineers at Brondell took this into consideration when they designed the Swash 1400 and created a small pocket that enables users to conceal the electrical and hose connections, making an already good looking unit even more aesthetically appealing.
Convenience
Programmable User Settings
While having a ton of features means you get the most comfortable bidet experience possible, many users appreciate that both the Brondell Swash 1400 and Blooming R1063 provide an auto wash option, which initiates a full wash or dry cycle by simply pressing the “auto” button. This is not only great for those times when you might not feel like choosing your own wash settings but is also perfect for multi-user homes with elderly users who might be overwhelmed by the many buttons. The Brondell Swash 1400 goes above and beyond the Blooming R1063 by also offering two user pre-sets, which allow two users to program their preferred settings into the bidet and start their personalized wash at the press of a button.
Power Save (Eco) Modes
Not all bidet seats offer energy saving modes, which conserve resources and save users money over the long haul, but both the Brondell Swash 1400 and the Blooming R1063 offer this feature. While the Brondell Swash 1400 offers one energy saving mode, the Blooming R1063 offers two.
Wireless Remote
A wireless remote makes it convenient and easy to select wash features, and it’s especially helpful for individuals who have physical or sight limitations and can’t easily operate a control panel attached to the side of the bidet seat. The good news is that both the Brondell Swash 1400 and Blooming R1063 offer a wireless remote. The even better news is that the Blooming R1063 gives users two remote options to choose from: a standard small remote (2”x5.25”) or a large remote (6.75”x4.78”), which is perfect for users who find it easier to read and operate larger buttons. Just specify which blooming remote you want on checkout.
Wash
Positionable Nozzles with Adjustable Spray Width
Getting clean is what bidets are all about, and a unit’s nozzles are key in making that happen. The Brondell Swash 1400 is arguably the best in the business when it comes to nozzle range, length, positioning options and coverage, ensuring a complete cleanse with minimal body repositioning needed. The Blooming R1063’s nozzles aren’t as long as the Swash 1400’s unique extra-long nozzles, and the Blooming also doesn’t offer as many positioning options, meaning that users may find it necessary to shift around a bit more in order to get a thorough clean.
Hip Bath
Bidet seats can be a wonderful tool for helping manage painful conditions like IBS, hemorrhoids and fissures, and the Blooming R1063 offers a hip bath option that is specially designed to target the discomfort caused by these types of health concerns. The Brondell Swash 1400 offers an oscillating wash that includes gentle massaging pressure, which can help soothe and relieve painful symptoms, but unlike the Blooming R1063, it doesn’t have a function specially dedicated to this.
On Demand Nozzle Sterilization
Maintaining a hygienic and clean unit is highly important to most users, and the Brondell Swash 1400 and Blooming R1063 both aim to please in this department by featuring nozzles that self-clean before and after each wash. The Blooming R1063 also enables users to manually clean the unit’s nozzles, while the Brondell Swash 1400 takes a fancier approach and offers an on-demand sterilizing option that uses silver to eradicate bacteria and prevent clog-causing buildup.
Replaceable Deodorizer
It’s easy to maintain a fresh smelling restroom thanks to the Brondell Swash deodorizer, which tackles odors at the source by filtering the air in the toilet bowl through an activated charcoal filter. This means you’re eliminating odors, not masking them, and aren’t reliant on chemical bathroom sprays and scents to keep things fresh. The Blooming R1063 doesn’t offer this feature.
Other Features
Warranty
The Blooming R1063’s 3 year full warranty is one of the best available for bidet seats, even outshining the Brondell Swash 1400’s generous 3 year limited warranty. While not a full warranty, the Swash 1400’s limited warranty can be upgraded to 5 years for a fee
Final Thoughts
The Brondell Swash 1400 and Blooming R1063 each bring a lot to the table in terms of features, quality and convenience. Even so, it’s nearly impossible for any bidet seat on the market, including the Blooming R1063, to beat the Brondell Swash 1400. If you know you need a deodorizer, off-white unit, on-demand nozzle sterilization, unbeatable nozzle range and length, connection concealing measures, or programmable settings, the Brondell Swash 1400 is for you. But if a full warranty, hip bath and dual power saving modes or an extra large remote are non-negotiables, you’ll want to seriously consider the Blooming R1063. At the end of the day, deciding between these two units will depend on your list of must-haves and whether you’re willing to spend just a bit more to upgrade to the Brondell Swash 1400.
