Detailed Comparison

Look & Feel

The Bio Bidet Serenity A8 features an effortless silhouette with crisp, clean lines. It comes in white and is only available in elongated seat sizes, so it won’t fit on a round toilet. In comparison, the Dignity Solutions Cascade 3000 offers a gently beveled lid that lends the seat an elegant look, and it also comes in white. Unlike the A8 Serenity, the Cascade 3000 comes in both round and elongated seat sizes, and it’s been specially designed to fit on French Curve toilets, which won’t accommodate most other bidet seats due to their unique silhouettes and proportions.

Wash & Dry Features

Nozzle Sterilization

Most electric bidets rinse their nozzles with water after each use, but the Dignity Solutions Cascade 3000 takes nozzle hygiene a step further. The interior of the Cascade 3000’s tubing and nozzles is coated in a silver nano-solution that harnesses silver’s natural antibacterial properties to kill off any contaminants that might come into contact with it. The wash water then passes through the sterile tubing and nozzle, thereby staying clean. The Bio Bidet A8 Serenity does not offer nozzle sterilizing technology.

Wide Spray

Some bidet seats, such as the Bio Bidet A8 Serenity, offer a wide spray option in addition to the standard spray width option. As the name implies, wide spray broadens the width of the wash stream in order to cover a greater surface area, which in turn cuts down on the amount of shifting required to get thoroughly clean and increases the speed and efficiency of the wash. The Dignity Solutions Cascade 3000 doesn’t feature a wide spray option.

Pulse Wash

Pulse washing is a great feature to have if you’re looking for extra soothing or relaxation as it alters the water pressure of the wash stream to create a gentle massage sensation. This can help alleviate soreness and also relaxes the sphincter muscles in order to facilitate bowel movements. The Bio Bidet A8 Serenity offers pulse washing while the Dignity Solutions Cascade 3000 does not.

Child Mode

As suggested by the name, child mode is designed to make bidets more accessible to youngsters and provides a gentler wash designed for users of a smaller stature. It’s a great feature to have if you have children in your home who would benefit from using a bidet. The Bio Bidet A8 Serenity comes with a child mode, whereas the Dignity Solutions Cascade 3000 does not.

Comfort & Convenience Features

Warm Air Dryer

Both the Dignity Solutions Cascade 3000 and the Bio Bidet A8 Serenity both offer warm air dryers that can significantly reduce or eliminate your need for toilet paper by gently drying you off after the wash cycle is complete. However, A8 Serenity takes hands-free drying a step further by offering a powerful “turbo dry” option that  gets you dry and on your way faster than most standard drying modes.

Control Options

The Bio Bidet A8 Serenity comes with a standard size, dual-sided remote with intuitive buttons and a display screen on one side. The Dignity Solutions Cascade 3000 gives users the choice of either a large remote or a smaller, standard-size remote; the larger remote features raised buttons and an intuitive layout, while the standard size remote offers flat buttons and a display screen. Having two sizes and styles to choose from makes it’s easier for users to find a remote that works for them.

Sittable Lid

Most bidet seats, including the Bio Bidet A8 Serenity, come with lids that aren’t capable of supporting an adult’s weight, and sitting on them can seriously damage the unit. The Dignity Solutions Cascade 3000, however, has been specially designed with a sittable lid that’s safely able to support up to 330 lbs, so you can sit on the lid for activities like clipping nails or helping others bathe.

Weight Limit

The Bio Bidet A8 Serenity takes first place in the weight limit category since it’s able to support up to 400 lbs (compared to the Dignity Solutions Cascade 3000’s 350 lb weight limit). If you’re looking for a seat that can support larger users, the A8 Serenity is a great option.

Warranty

When it comes to warranties, both the Dignity Solutions Cascade 3000 and the Bio Bidet A8 Serenity come with generous warranties. The main difference here is that Bio Bidet gives A8 Serenity customers the option of upgrading from the standard 3 year full warranty to a 6 year full warranty for a fee. Dignity Solutions provides a 4 year full warranty on the Cascade 3000 with no upgrade options.

Final Thoughts

Overall, the Bio Bidet A8 Serenity comes out ahead of the Dignity Solutions Cascade 3000 when it comes to features and functionality thanks to its wide spray option, pulse washing, child mode, more powerful warm air dryer, higher weight limit and warranty upgrade option. However, if you’re in search of a unit that features nozzle sterilization, fits on a French curve or round toilet, offers different remote control styles, or a sittable lid, the Cascade 3000 by Dignity Solutions is a great choice.
