Detailed Comparison of the TOTO Neorest 750H and the TOTO G400 Toilet and WASHLET Combo
The TOTO Neorest 750H is arguably one of the most stylish, luxurious and feature packed units on the market, but these benefits do come with a steep price tag. In comparison, the TOTO G400 is a simpler model but offers great value at a lower price point.
Look and Feel
Overall Look and Feel
Few units can beat the TOTO Neorest 750H when it comes to aesthetics. With its streamlined, sculpted silhouette, the 750H looks every inch the luxury unit that it is. The G400 has a more basic design, but it features clean lines that are sure to fit seamlessly in contemporary and traditional bathrooms alike. Notably, the 750H is available only in white, while the G400 is available in both beige and white.
Night Light
The Neorest 750H offers a built in nightlight, which takes the experience of using the restroom in the dark to a new level of convenience and safety. The G400 doesn’t provide this feature, though users who consider this a necessity can purchase and install an after market nightlight. While after market nightlights don’t have quite the same aesthetic appeal as the built in versions, they offer users the same functionality and peace of mind.
Functionality
EWATER+
The Neorest 750H makes it easy to maintain a clean unit thanks to EWATER+, a unique water sterilization technology that uses a small electrical charge to produce electrolyzed water. This sterile water, which acts as an antibacterial agent, is then used to clean the bidet’s nozzles after each use, as well as to PREMIST the toilet bowl before use. The G400, on the other hand, uses regular, non-sterile water to PREMIST the bowl and clean the nozzles.
Actilight
As one of TOTO’s premiere integrated units, the Neorest 750H features the state of the art Actilight technology, which uses a combination of UV light, EWATER+ and oxygen, to break down leftover residue in the bowl, keeping the unit cleaner longer. The G400 doesn’t offer Actilight, so it may require old fashioned cleaning more often than the 750H does.
Water Heater
Water heating methods may not be the first thing users think about when considering a unit, but it’s important to know your options before settling on a unit as this can noticeably impact the overall experience. Instant water heating systems, such as the one featured by the Neorest 750H, provide unlimited warm water for washing. This warm water will never run out, no matter how long the wash, and it will only ever vary in temperature by a degree or two. In contrast, the G400 features a tank water heater, which provides a few minutes of warm wash water before running out. When the warm water is depleted, the unit will use cold water to wash until the tank has a chance to refill, which takes approximately 3 to 5 minutes.
Wide Front Cleanse
The wide front cleanse option offered by the Neorest 750H is a favorite of many female users, who appreciate the convenience and comfort of a wash that covers a wider surface area. The G400 doesn’t offer this option.
Final Thoughts
The TOTO Neorest 750H offers unparalleled luxury and comfort along with a classy look that few units can match. However, these top of the line elements come at a cost, and the price difference between the 750H and the G400 is significant. If you’re able to spend the extra cash to upgrade to the 750H, you won’t be disappointed by its performance or appearance. On the other hand, though the G400 may not be able to match the 750H in terms of features, it nevertheless gets the job done and does it well at a lower cost. Furthermore, the G400 is available in both beige and white, which makes it a more versatile choice for users constrained by bathroom color schemes. Users who are looking for a unit similar to the 750H in looks and features but at a lower price point may want to consider the TOTO Neorest 700H and the TOTO Neorest 550H.
