Look and Feel
The TOTO Neorest AH and the TOTO G400 Toilet and WASHLET have a similar, angular style, though the Neorest AH offers a lower-profile (and arguably sleeker) silhouette than the G400. While many integrated units only come in white, the Neorest AH and G400 both come in white and beige.
Wash Features
Wide Front Cleanse
While both the TOTO G400 and the TOTO Neorest AH come with front, rear and soft rear wash modes, the Neorest AH offers an additional wash option called “wide front cleanse”. This wash setting uses a wider stream of water to cleanse the feminine areas for superior cleansing coverage.
Comfort & Convenience
EWATER+
EWATER+ is the name TOTO has given to the sterile, electrolyzed water produced by some of their units. The Neorest AH uses EWATER+ both to PREMIST the bowl and to sanitize the nozzles after each wash session, giving you added peace of mind about the cleanliness of your toilet and bidet. While the G400 does PREMIST the bowl and rinses its nozzles, it does so using regular water rather than sterile EWATER+.
Instant Water Heater
The instant water heater featured by the TOTO Neorest AH ensures a constant, never ending stream of warm wash water, with the only caveat being that there may be a quick spurt of cool water at the beginning of the wash cycle. In comparison, the TOTO G400 has a tank water heating system that provides continuously warm water until the tank runs out. This can happen if the unit is used several times in quick succession or if a user runs a long wash cycle. In these instances, the bidet will use ambient temperature water until the tank can refill and reheat, which usually takes a couple of minutes.
Night Light
Feeling your way to the bathroom in low light can be both unpleasant and unsafe. Thankfully, the TOTO Neorest AH has a solution to this common problem: a built-in nightlight that gently illuminates the bowl. The G400 doesn’t come with a nighlight, but if this feature is on your must-haves list, you can always purchase and install an after-market nightlight.
Summary
When it comes to features alone, the TOTO Neorest AH has the TOTO G400 beat. From a pricing standpoint, however, the TOTO G400 is the lower priced option. If you’re on a tight budget, the G400 may suit you best, but if a wide array of features and sleek looks are a top priority, you may find that the Neorest AH is well worth the higher price tag.
