TOTO Neorest RH Integrated Toilet and WASHLET
TOTO’s Neorest AC and Neorest RH are both high-performing, ADA compliant units that offer two distinct looks and mounting options. In addition, the Neorest AC offers TOTO’s luxury self-cleaning system. We go into detail about these differences below so you can make a decision with confidence!

Look and Feel
When it comes to overall look, the TOTO Neorest AC and the TOTO Neorest RH are on opposite ends of the spectrum. The wall-mounted Neorest AC doesn’t touch the floor at any point and features a sophisticated, square silhouette with an ultra-contemporary curved lid. In comparison, the TOTO Neorest RH sits on the floor like a regular toilet and has a soft, rounded shape. When it comes to color, it can be tough to find off-white integrated units, but the Neorest RH comes in both beige and white. The Neorest AC only comes in white.
Mounting
Installing the TOTO Neorest RH is similar to installing any traditional floor mounted toilet, and it requires a 12″ rough-in (12 inches from the back wall to the center of the drain or flange). Installation is a bit different for the wall-mounted Neorest AC because the flushing mechanism and water tank are designed to be hidden in the bathroom wall. One of the big benefits to this set-up is that the Neorest AC takes up less space than the average floor-mounted integrated unit, making it a great option for small bathrooms.
Actilight
The only major difference in features between the TOTO Neorest AC and the TOTO Neorest RH is that the Neorest AC comes with TOTO’s groundbreaking Actilight self-cleaning technology, whereas the Neorest RH does not. Actilight uses UV light, in tandem with the oxygen naturally present in the air, electrolyzed water (EWATER+), and the bowl’s ultra-smooth CeFiONtect glaze, to destroy germs and bacteria at the touch of a button. It helps cut back on the amount of cleaning required and ensures optimal unit hygiene.
Summary
The biggest differences between the Neorest AC and the Neorest RH are mounting style, overall look, color options, and Actilight technology. If a self-cleaning unit is something you can’t live without, or if you’re looking for an innovatively designed integrated bidet and toilet, the Neorest AC may be a great choice for you. On the other hand, if you need a beige toilet, prefer a floor mounted model, and don’t mind using good old fashioned elbow grease to clean it, we’d recommend giving the Neorest RH serious consideration.
