TOTO has discontinued the TOTO G500 Toilet and WASHLET and replaced it with the TOTO G400 Toilet and WASHLET Combo. The primary improvement to the new G400 over the old G500 model is that it offers PREMIST, as does the TOTO Neorest AC. PREMIST is where the unit coats the bowl with a thin film of water, creating a slippery surface that makes it difficult for residue to stick to the bowl’s surface. This helps extend the amount of time the unit can go between cleanings. Here is a detailed review of the TOTO G400 Toilet and WASHLET versus the TOTO Neorest AC.
