When not in use, electric bidet nozzles are stored inside the bidet to protect them from becoming contaminated while users go to the bathroom.
Antimicrobial materials: Many electric bidet seats have an antimicrobial coating that inhibits the growth of bacteria and maintains a sanitary surface. Some bidets have special antibacterial nozzle coatings or feature stainless steel nozzles that are unlikely to become contaminated because of stainless steel’s non-porous nature.
Sterilizing systems: Certain bidet seats are equipped with sterilizing mechanisms that use silver nano particles, UV light or other technologies to kill germs and ensure a hygienic environment.
Nozzle design: Electric bidet seat nozzles are also designed to spray water at an angle that minimizes the risk of splashing or cross-contamination.
Electric bidet seats are powered by, you guessed it, electricity! That means you’ll need a GFCI plug in your bathroom, preferably within 4 feet of the toilet, since that’s the length of the average bidet seat cord. You can use an extension cord, the lower the gauge the better. For safety, keep the extension cord elevated off the floor where it joins with the bidet seat cord, and you’ll be golden!
Installing an electric bidet seat is quick and easy, usually taking less than 30 minutes. Using an electric bidet toilet seat is super simple! Just sit down on the toilet as you normally would and go to the bathroom. When you’re done, activate the bidet functions using the buttons on the bidet seat’s remote or control panel.
