Both the seat's electrical cord, and water supply come out of the left hand side when facing the toilet.

Brondell Swash bidet seats have remotes that have LED lights on them, so while they don't have screens, the LED lights indicate what options are selected. Many of these LED lights that indicate temperature will change color based on the temperature selected.

Sadly this bidet does not have a battery operated version. This bidet requires too much power to realistically rely on a standard battery, as the electrical pull is too high. This bidet uses a standard 3 prong GFCI outlet.

This bidet seat comes with everything needed to install and operate the bidet seat on a normal toilet. If you have a skirted toilet and thus don't have access to the bottom side of the bolts that connect the toilet seat to the bowl, you may need additional hardware, which you can find below: Alternate T Connector Top-Mount Hardware Kit If you have hard water, you may also consider pairing your seat with an ion water filter. If you use a filter, you'll want to make sure to change it out every 6 to 9 months.

This is our second Brondell 1400 Swash. The first has been a joy to own for about a year now so we bought a second for our guest bathroom. It has so many adjustable feathers for water temp, water pressure, nozzle position, dryer temp, seat temp, and other functions like soft close, sanitizer, deodorizer, and more. Only wish the seat bolts were more accessible for smooth side toilets which require backside access in tight quarters.

So far we’re very happy with the unit. We bought the elongated version and it’s a bit tight for guys. The opening is closer to a round (non elongated) regular toilet seat. However, the advantages of the bidet functions outweigh the smaller seat opening. It is too early to comment on longevity of the unit, but so far overall very pleased. I’d buy it again if I had it to do over, and my wife absolutely loves this thing.

This is the best bidet. It has everything you could ask for. The night light is an added bonus. The quality of the parts is 2nd to none. The self cleaning features ensure the unit stays clean after each use. I recommend a 20A GFCI dedicated circuit for this unit
