What side of this seat does the cord come out of?
Both the seat's electrical cord, and water supply come out of the left hand side when facing the toilet.

How can you tell what settings are selected on the Brondell Swash since the remote does not have a screen?
Brondell Swash bidet seats have remotes that have LED lights on them, so while they don't have screens, the LED lights indicate what options are selected. Many of these LED lights that indicate temperature will change color based on the temperature selected.

Is there a battery powered version of this bidet?
Sadly this bidet does not have a battery operated version. This bidet requires too much power to realistically rely on a standard battery, as the electrical pull is too high. This bidet uses a standard 3 prong GFCI outlet.

What does this bidet seat come with? Do I need anything else for install?
This bidet seat comes with everything needed to install and operate the bidet seat on a normal toilet. If you have a skirted toilet and thus don't have access to the bottom side of the bolts that connect the toilet seat to the bowl, you may need additional hardware, which you can find below: Alternate T Connector Top-Mount Hardware Kit If you have hard water, you may also consider pairing your seat with an ion water filter. If you use a filter, you'll want to make sure to change it out every 6 to 9 months.

Where has this been all of my life? Well, at least for the past couple of years. I’m a middle-aged woman who had major surgery two years ago and this would have made my life so much easier. Why don’t doctors recommend bidets? Even two years out of surgery, I struggle a bit and after a week of using the Swash 1400, I can honestly say that this is a life-changer. Now I just need one at work! My husband has quickly jumped on the bidet bandwagon. What we like: the heated seat, front and rear wash, night light, sittable lid, slow close seat, nozzles that move while washing, ability to control the intensity of wash, position wash nozzles, control wash temps. What we haven’t used yet: user 1 and 2 settings, deodorizer, sterilization. What we are ambivalent about: The dryer. It’s fun to be able to have the warm air blowing on you, but you’d have to sit for quite a while to get really dry. What we wish were a little different: night light. We love it, but we don’t see that there is a way to have it only come on at night. That would be awesome. As it is, it is on all day. I know you can totally turn it off, but it would be cool if it had a sensor so that it only comes on in the dark.
Shopping was easy, Christina answered all of my questions patiently. We have one of those crazy concealed traps, skirted toilets. It looked cool in the showroom and I thought it would be easier to clean as I’m not getting any younger (and it is). I sent Christina a photo of the thing and she knew right away that I would need a top mount kit (included free with purchase). When we received the bidet, we had to dig up top mount installation info on the Swash site and it was still rather challenging to get the water supply line hooked up. Luckily my husband is handy and got it hooked up. I was very well aware that we could have called Many Bidets and been guided through by someone nice and helpful, but it was night time and we REALLY wanted to try it out, so we got it figured out!
In conclusion: we love it. It is amazing to feel so clean and fresh after a bathroom break.

This is our 2nd time purchasing the Brondell Swash (1st time was for our previous house) and we still love them and recommend them. The blue light is new from the first ones we had and it’s nice for not having to turn the lights on at night. 🙂

My wife and I got hooked on toilet seat bidets after visiting Hawaii earlier in 2020. Upon my return home, I began my search to purchase one. I also like the fact the hose is tucked away and contoured to the side for a low profile look. After using it for about 2 months now we are extremely happy with it. At present with the COVID-19 Virus causing a buying panic of all the toilet paper we don’t have to worry as we have machines that will do the job and dry you clean. This Bidet does exactly what it was designed to do. Installation was simple. Programming was simple. Use is simple. Performance is spot on. Relative to history and the drying methods, don’t expect too much from the dryer and just use the old method of a shelf with some hand towels.
