What side of this seat does the cord come out of?
Both the seat's electrical cord, and water supply come out of the left hand side when facing the toilet.

How can you tell what settings are selected on the Brondell Swash since the remote does not have a screen?
Brondell Swash bidet seats have remotes that have LED lights on them, so while they don't have screens, the LED lights indicate what options are selected. Many of these LED lights that indicate temperature will change color based on the temperature selected.

Is there a battery powered version of this bidet?
Sadly this bidet does not have a battery operated version. This bidet requires too much power to realistically rely on a standard battery, as the electrical pull is too high. This bidet uses a standard 3 prong GFCI outlet.

What does this bidet seat come with? Do I need anything else for install?
This bidet seat comes with everything needed to install and operate the bidet seat on a normal toilet. If you have a skirted toilet and thus don't have access to the bottom side of the bolts that connect the toilet seat to the bowl, you may need additional hardware, which you can find below: Alternate T Connector Top-Mount Hardware Kit If you have hard water, you may also consider pairing your seat with an ion water filter. If you use a filter, you'll want to make sure to change it out every 6 to 9 months.

I have known about bidets and wash-lets for a long time now. I have always been hesitant but as a licensed master plumber I felt I could no longer wait to try one.
Well, I must say it is a truly remarkable experience. Took a few tries to get it perfect but from the get go it has been an unbelievable experience. I now look forward to my next colonoscopy LOL. Same roll of toilet paper for over a week now even my wife who used to make mitts out of the paper hardly uses any. Would recommend it to all!

I’ purchased the Swash 1400 a few months ago.It is amazing how detailed it performs.The remote control is very easy to follow for fantastic result.I would highly recommend getting one .

We own two Brondell 1400 bidets now. The quality of the product is really good. The design looks modern. It works great. The seat is very comfortable. The nozzle position, water spray width, and water temperature are very easy to adjust and change. Like the remote control and two user setting. Love the ECO mode, which will turn off the heated seat temperature after 10 minutes with no use for power saving. Only thing I didn’t like is the fan. Only the air from back of the seat feels warm but anywhere else the air feels cold. So I barely use the air feature. Overall, this product is excellent.
We love the service and help this company provided. We feel that they really care about their customers and are willing to work with you for any requests and issues. I would recommend my families and friends to own this product and to buy the bidets from this company as well.

It appears to be a very well made product. It came with clear instructions for installation and most of all I love it. I first used a bidet type toilet in Japan about 5 years ago and have wanted one since. When we remodeled I had an electrical outlet put right by the toilet in anticipation of having one. The Swash 1400 is easy to use and looks great. It has a nice modern look and is comfortable to sit on. The hand held “remote” makes changing settings at any time very easy. however it also has two memory setting so once you find the settings you prefer you don’t have to keep resetting them with each use.
It is wonderful to be able to refresh between showers and of course whenever you use the toilet. With the dry setting one doesn’t need as much toilet tissue.
A feature I really love is the light spray in the toilet whenever it senses skin. This can really help with cleaning. There is also a great deodorizing function.
The Swash 1400 is also easy to clean.
I’m afraid that this rave review might make some of you think its not real. But it really is.

Overall it works well. Sometimes the water temp fluctuates as it flows. I am glad to not be using so much toilet paper. My septic tank agrees.
