Detailed comparison of the Bio Bidet A8 Serenity Advanced and Bio Bidet USPA 6800 bidet seats.

Crafted with quality materials and equipped with a variety of options, the Bio Bidet USPA 6800 (now discontinued) and the Bio Bidet A8 are designed with comfort and convenience in mind. In this article, we go through the specific details and differences between these bidet seats, plus alternatives to consider, so you can find the best fit for your bathroom.

Design

In addition to offering a range of bidet features, the Bio Bidet USPA 6800 and A8 offer an elegant look. Compared to the USPA 6800, the A8’s design is a bit sleeker and includes special hose clips so you can keep everything neatly tucked away and looking tidy.

The USPA 6800 comes in both round and elongated seat styles, so it’s compatible with most toilet. The A8, on the other hand, only comes in the elongated style, so you’ll need to choose a different seat if you have a round toilet.

We’ve selected the BB-1000 as the best Bio Bidet alternative to the A8 and USPA 6800. In terms of design elements, it offers a sleek silhouette, minus the hose clips that are offered on the A8, as well as round and elongated seat options.

Wash & Dry

Nozzles

The USPA 6800 has two separate plastic nozzles that perform its front and rear wash cycles. In contrast, the A8 features a single, stainless steel, 2-in-1 nozzle. Stainless steel is a preferable and more hygienic material for bidet seat nozzles because it’s easier to keep clean.

When it comes to functionality, there aren’t many differences between the nozzles on these seats. Both sets of nozzles self-rinse with clean water before and after each use. They also adjust to numerous positions, and offer oscillating and pulse options for a relaxing cleansing experience.

Water Flow

A high water flow rate is known to help provide a more effective and faster wash. In this comparison, the USPA 6800’s water flow rate is 0.26  gallons per minute, Which is slightly more powerful than the A8’s rate of 0.18. A higher water flow rate can be a great option for those who suffer from urinary and bowel incontinence since it can help provide a thorough cleaning after an accident.

Aeration

Aeration is the process by which air bubbles are infused into a bidet seat’s water stream. This creates a stronger, more pressurized water stream, which is generally a good thing. However, it can make the wash stream feel a bit too harsh for those with extra sensitive intimate areas.

Aeration is a standard feature on most bidet seats, including the USPA 6800, but the Bio Bidet A8 gives you the unique option of turning aeration on and off. Being able to turn off aeration for a weaker stream means that the A8 might be a better choice for individuals experiencing excessive tenderness, hemorrhoids, or recovering from certain surgeries.

Water Heater

The USPA 6800 is equipped with a tank style water heater that produces 30-60 seconds of warm water before running out. Once empty, the tank takes around 5 minutes to refill and reheat. The Bio Bidet A8 comes with hybrid water heating that provides approximately a minute and twenty seconds of warm water, followed by a 5 minute reheat period. This is a nice option if you want the option of longer wash cycles without having to worry about running out of warm water.

If you want a Bio Bidet seat with truly unlimited warm water, we recommend looking at the BB-2000. Not only is the BB-2000 one of our most feature heavy seats, it also comes with an extra-powerful hybrid heating system that provides unending warm water. This is a nice option to have if you don’t want to worry about hurrying through your cleansing cycle, or if you have a lot of people in your household that will be using the seat.

Warm Air Dryer

While both of these seats offer convenient, adjustable temperature warm air dryers, the A8 takes this feature a step further with customizable temperature and power. With the A8, you can choose between the standard dryer setting and the powerful turbo option for an even faster dry.

Best Alternative Seat for Great Wash & Dry Features

When it comes to wash features, the Bio Bidet BB-1000 is a good alternative to the A8 and the USPA 6800. It features plastic nozzles, a tank heater, heated seat and a standard warm air dryer, putting it on par with the USPA 6800 in these areas. Similar to the A8, the BB-1000 has a single wash wand with multiple nozzles.

Out of these three seats, the BB-1000 has the highest water flow rate which results in an exceptionally powerful wash. It also comes with a dedicated enema wash mode (in addition to standard front and rear washing) that effectively stimulates the bowels and relieves constipation. Additionally, its nozzles can be easily replaced at home.

Comfort & Convenience

LED Night Light

The Bio Bidet A8 includes an LED nightlight, while the USPA 6800 does not. This is a nice feature to have if you frequently use the bathroom at night as it allows you to navigate your bathroom without needing to turn on a harsh overhead light.

User Presets

User presets are a great option to have if you will be sharing your bidet seat with another household member. Through user presets, you have the ability to pre-program your favorite settings into the control panel so that the seat performs your personal wash options on demand. The A8 comes with two user presets while the USPA 6800 has none.

Remote Controls

Both the A8 and USPA 6800 come with standard size remotes that can be handheld or mounted to the wall. The USPA remote clearly presents its options via icon buttons and has a screen to display your chosen preferences. On the other hand, the A8 comes with a sleek and intuitive two sided remote. The front side of the A8 remote displays the seat’s basic functions, while the reverse side is a screen where you can program the more advanced features. This dual sided display is great for guests who are new to bidets or for those who only want to access the seat’s basic functions.

Best Alternative Seat for Great Comfort & Convenience

The BB-1000 has many of the same convenience features as the USPA 6800 and the A8, including a wireless remote control, deodorizer and slow closing lid. It doesn’t offer user presets or a nightlight. Its large remote is ideal for individuals with dexterity difficulties or who plan to operate it with their feet.

Final Thoughts

While the USPA 6800 and A8 each come with some great functions, the A8 has an edge in terms of the number of features offered. These include clips that keep the hoses and cords tucked away, stainless steel nozzles, a night light, two user presets, a hybrid water heater with more warm water than a tank heater, and turbo drying. Additionally, Bio Bidet recently discontinued the USPA 6800 so it is no longer available for purchase on our site.

In our view, the BB-1000 is the best Bio Bidet alternative to the A8 and USPA 6800 . It’s a blend of both seats and comes with a competitive price tag. The BB-1000 even offers a few extra features that the A8 and USPA 6800 don’t have, like enema washing and an extra generous wash stream. But the biggest selling point for us is customer satisfaction, and out of these three units, the BB-1000 consistently gets the best reviews. We frequently receive complaints about the A8 but negative feedback on the BB-1000 is really rare. In our opinion, satisfaction with your purchase is probably worth a few less features, so we typically recommend the BB-1000 over the A8.

If you want a seat with all the bells and whistles, the BB-2000 is a terrific Bio Bidet alternative to the A8 and USPA 6800. In addition to offering the same features as the A8 (minus a turbo setting on the air dryer), the BB-2000 also provides truly unlimited warm water, round and elongated seat options, and an enema function that’s great for relieving constipation.

If you’re looking to purchase outside the Bio Bidet family, we recommend the Cascade 3000 as an alternative to the A8 and USPA 6800. Though the Cascade doesn’t come with user presets, it does offer an auto wash feature that initiates a wash and dry cycle (employing the most recently used wash settings) at the touch of a button. It also features unlimited warm water, a generous wash stream, a sittable lid, as well as round and elongated seat sizes. All in all, it’s a great option if you’re looking for premium features without the possible headaches associated with the A8.
