Detailed comparison of the Brondell Swash 1000 vs Bio Bidet dib-850 bidet seat
The Brondell Swash-1000 and the Bio Bidet dib-850 are two wonderfully designed bidet seats that offer great options and technology for comfort, convenience and cleanliness. In the following article, we will discuss the differences in these two products so that you may make the best decision for you needs.
Design
Both of the dib-850 and Swash 1000 have an attractive, sleek and stylish design. The Bio Bidet dib-850 is available in the color white and shows off a sharp, modern appearance. The Brondell Swash 1000 can be chosen in either white or biscuit and has a slightly more classic look. Whichever your preference is, either seat will elevate and add luxury to you bathroom. For added options, both these models are offered in round and elongated styles and both come accompanied by intuitive flat button remotes.
While both of the dib-850 and Swash 1000 feature the highly desired sittable lid, the Swash 1000 can accommodate 270 pounds, a bit more than the dib-850’s 200 pound lid limit. Conveniently, both models also offer slow closing lids, so no need to worry about accidental slamming. Worth noting, the dib-850 offers a uniquely contoured seat that is considered to be one of the most comfortable on the market today.
Nozzles
The Brondell Swash 1000 is equipped with a dual stainless steel nozzle while the Bio Bidet dib-850 comes with a single 3 in 1 stainless steel nozzle. Although it is rare to have to replace your bidet seat nozzle, if this becomes necessary the dib-850 nozzle is easy to replace while the Swash 1000 nozzle is not. The nozzles on both the dib-850 and swash 1000 are self cleaning and adjustable, but the Swash 1000 nozzle also offers nano-silver sterilization. There is no nozzle sterilization function on the dib-850.
Worth mentioning, the nozzle used on the dib-850 offers a wider water stream than most other bidet seats on the market
Wash
Both the Bio Bidet dib-850 and the Swash 1000 offer wonderful, modern cleansing options like pulse wash, massage function and one button wash and dry. Additionally, the Swash 1000 offers an aerated wash with 3 adjustable width options, while the dib-850 features adjustable width during the oscillating wash function. The dib-850 also offers an added Sitz-bath feature that offers a very gentle wide spray for soothing purposes.
Water Flow
The Brondell Swash 1000 has a water flow rate of 0.11 gallons per minute, while the dib-850 has a slightly higher rate of flow at 0.16 gallons per minute. The benefit of a higher water flow rate is a stronger water stream that results in a faster cleaning process.
Enema Wash
If someone in your household struggles with constipation, the enema wash is definitely a function you will want to consider having on your bidet seat. The dib-850 is equipped with an enema wash that utilizes Bio Bidet’s patented vortex stream technology, which essentially adds a spin to the water stream for more power. When this stream is forced into the rectum, it proves to be effective in stimulating bowel movements, therefore providing relief. The Swash 1000 does not have an enema wash function.
Other Features
Another differing feature is the user preset option that dib-850 offers. Convenient for those who will be sharing their bidet seat with a spouse or other household member, the user preset option allows you to pre-program your favorite wash options so you can easily go through your personal cleaning routine without re-configuring your settings with every use. The Swash 1000 does not offer a user preset option.
The dib-850 also features a LED night light on the seat, so you don’t have to turn on the lights for you night time visits.
For those who are looking for eco-friendly options, both of these seats have automatic power saving modes for energy conservation.
Weight limit
The Bio BIdet dib-850 is able to accommodate 400 lbs, while the Brondell Swash 1000 has a limit of 330 lbs.
Warranty
The dib-850 comes with a full 3 year warranty and if you find that you want extra coverage, you will have the option to upgrade to a 6 year full warranty. The Swash 1000 has a 3 year limited warranty, but is also upgradable to a 5 year full warranty.
Final Thoughts
Whether you choose the Bio-Bidet dib-850 or Brondell Swash 1000 depends on the needs of you and your household, as well as which functions you personally desire. Both the dib-850 and Swash 1000 feature great wash and design options, and either one would drastically upgrade your bathroom experience by providing comfort and cleanliness.
