The TOTO S500e fits elongated toilets, and it comes in two design options (classic or contemporary) and two colors (white or beige). The lid of the S500e Classic features an elegant beveled edge, whereas the lid of the S500e Contemporary is sleek and angular, giving it a more modern look. The Cascade 3000 by Dignity Solutions comes only in white and features a sophisticated design similar to that of the TOTO S500e contemporary. It’s worth mentioning that, compared to the S500e, the Cascade 3000 is compatible with a wider range of toilets as it comes in both elongated and round seat styles and its design allows for successful installation on difficult-to-fit French curve toilets.
Like most bidets on the market, the TOTO S500e’s lid can’t support the weight of an adult, and sitting on it carries the risk of seriously damaging or breaking the bidet. If you like to sit on your toilet lid to clip toenails or to assist someone in bathing, the Cascade 3000 bidet seat is a good option for you as it comes with a durable, sittable lid that safely supports up to 330 lbs.
The Cascade 3000 by Dignity Solutions features a top-quality, stainless steel nozzles. Compared to plastic or aluminum, stainless steel has long been considered the industry gold standard for nozzle construction due to its durability and easiness to clean. In comparison, the TOTO S500e has a plastic nozzle. Additionally, it’s worth noting that both units feature nozzle sterilization technology. The main difference is the type of sterilization method used. The Cascade 3000’s interior tubing and nozzles are coated with silver, which has natural antibacterial properties and prevents the interior surfaces from becoming contaminated. This keeps the water pure as it passes through the unit, and this clean water is then used for the front and rear washes, as well as for rinsing the bidet’s nozzles after each use. The TOTO S500e, in comparison, uses sterile, electrolyzed water to sanitize the unit’s nozzles.

The TOTO S500e comes with an attractive, dual sided remote with a screen for displaying selected options. The Cascade 3000 by Dignity Solutions, on the other hand, offers two remote options: a large remote with easy-to-press buttons and an intuitive layout, or a smaller (standard size) remote with flat buttons and a screen that displays chosen options.
The TOTO S500e is able to safely support up to 320 lbs, while the Dignity Solutions Cascade 3000 isn’t far behind, with a 350 lbs weight limit, but also allows you to sit on the lid.
