On the surface, the TOTO Neorest EW and the TOTO 550H look nothing alike, but when it comes to features, they’re almost identical. The Neorest EW is one of TOTO’s only wall-hung integrated units and features a modern, angular silhouette. The benefit to being a wall-hung unit is that it takes up less space than a traditional floor-mounted unit, so it’s a great option for bathrooms where space is tight. The TOTO Neorest 550H, on the other hand, is a traditional floor-mounted unit, and like most floor mounted units it requires a 12-inch rough in (meaning there needs to be 12 inches between the back wall of the bathroom and the center of the drain or flange). The Neorest 550H also has a different overall look than the Neorest EW, featuring sleek lines and elegant curves. The other major aesthetic difference between the two models is that the Neorest EW is only available in white, whereas the Neorest 550H is one of the few TOTO integrated units available in both white and beige. There’s also a price difference between the Neorest 550H and the Neorest EW, so the main considerations when deciding between them are looks and budget.
