Look and Feel
There aren’t a lot of differences between the TOTO Neorest NX2 and the TOTO Neorest 700H, but looks is definitely one of the big ones. The TOTO Neorest NX2 features an ultra-modern, rounded silhouette with plenty of graceful curves. The 700H is also sleek and sophisticated but has a more angular look overall. In this category, we don’t consider one to be better than the other, so determining a winner is entirely up to your personal taste.
Self-Cleaning
The primary difference between the TOTO Neorest NX2 and the TOTO Neorest 700H is the ability of the Neorest NX2 to self-clean using TOTO’s state of the art Actilight technology. Actilight breaks down residue and leftover waste particles in the toilet bowl via UV-light, which reacts with the unit’s special CeFiONtect glaze and electrolyzed water to clean the unit’s surface. While the Neorest NX2 offers the self-cleaning Actilight technology, the Neorest 700H does not.
NX2 Upgrades
When TOTO designed the NX2, they didn’t simply compile the most cutting-edge features in their arsenal into one fantastic unit, they also redesigned and upgraded some of the unit’s basic elements, including the bowl rim, seat, and flushing system. For example, the NX2’s seat provides users with even more stability and support than before, and the rimless bowl makes cleaning easy by eliminating anyplace for residue and germs to hide. Finally, the reconfigured Tornado Flush System has an even more powerful reach than before, which helps keep the unit clean from waste residue.
Price
TOTO hasn’t released the price for the Neorest NX2 yet, but we expect that it will be pricier than the Neorest 700H due to its self-cleaning Actilight technology and updated design. We’ll update this page with pricing information as it becomes available.
Final Thoughts
There are only a few differences between the stylish and feature-packed TOTO Neorest NX2 and TOTO Neorest 700H. In our opinion, the TOTO Neorest NX2 comes out ahead thanks to its gorgeous, silhouette, self-cleaning Actilight technology, and upgraded bowl rim, seat, and flushing system. While the price for the NX2 hasn’t been released yet, the Actilight technology will likely mean it will be priced higher than the 700H. With this in mind, budget, personal aesthetics, and whether or not you consider self-cleaning to be a necessity are three considerations that will best guide you in deciding between these two great units.
