What do you need to know before buying the Toto Neorest 750H?

My name is Daniel Johnson, I’m your bidet expert and the owner and founder of manybidets.com, where over the past 8 years, we’ve sold over 10,000 bidets.

Whenever you’re making a big purchase, you want to make sure that it fits in the space that you’re looking to put it in. With the Toto Neorest 750H, that’s no different. It is a rather large toilet. This makes it comfortable and there’s a lot of perks to being larger, but you want to make sure that it fits in your space. It’s about 31 inches from front to back, to give you an idea how much larger it might be than your standard toilet.

There are also some things that you, or your plumber need to know, before you decide to move forward with your purchase of the Toto Neorest 750H. These would include the fact that it uses a 12-inch rough-in. While 12 inches is standard in most homes, some homes might have a smaller rough-in, which can cause problems. The rough-in is the space from the center of the drain hole, to the drywall behind the toilet. Again, that would need to be 12 inches, in order for the Toto Neorest 750H to work. Your plumber, or yourself, would also need to know that the water supply may need to be moved. The footprint of the Toto Neorest 750H is a little on the larger side, so that water supply may have to be moved, in order to clear that footprint. You can see in the diagram shown on screen, the measurements that you would need to take into account for that. On this diagram, it’s important to note that you could also move it further out, than the diagram shows, but you may need an extension hose in order to do that. The water supply also needs to be fitted with a water inlet that Toto provides with the 750H. You’ll be replacing your standard water inlet with a new water inlet, which is totally doable, but it is one other thing you or your plumber would want to take into account. The last thing that you’d want to notify your plumber of before deciding to move forward with the 750H, is the fact that you’ll be drilling into the floor to mount the 750H. While it connects in a way to the actual flange, it’s actually held in place with a couple of floor mounts and so that requires drilling into the floor. If you have any sort of flooring material that you can’t drill into for one reason or another, that’s something else to take into account.

If you want to get a feel for what the install process would look like, check out our installation video for the Toto Neorest 750H. That can be found in the video description, or by clicking the link up in the corner of the video, right now.

There are also some things that your electrician should know, when it comes to the Toto Neorest 750H. Its top pull is going to be about 13-14 amps. In that range, you’re probably going to want to run it on a dedicated 20 amp circuit. Your electrician needs to know that, so that they know they need to run a separate line. They also need to know it needs to be run on a GFCI outlet and that the cord on this unit is about 4 ft long, so the outlet needs to be pretty close to the unit in order for that cord to reach.

Another thing to take into account before buying the Toto Neorest 750H is, thinking about where you’re buying from. Buying from an unauthorized retailer can save you a little bit of money up front, but can have major repercussions down the road. Buying from an unauthorized retailer can mean no warranty support from Toto. We have also seen scenarios where unauthorized retailers pass off returned units that they’ve refurbished, as new. This helps them get in at that lower price point, but you’re not getting a new unit, because they’re not authorized. They may not know how to refurbish the unit correctly and it might be faulty. As an unauthorized retailer, often if you get a faulty unit, Toto is not going to help to make that right, because you didn’t buy from someone that they authorized. If the unit arrives damaged, we’ve heard of stories where the damage wasn’t covered. We’ve also run into scenarios where someone purchases something like a Toto Neorest 750H, from an unauthorized retailer and they end up just getting the bowl, or just getting the seat portion, despite the fact that the website made it look like they were getting everything. You might save some money going with an unauthorized retailer, but before you make that purchase you might want to ask yourself “Is it worth the risk?”. If you decide to purchase from an authorized retailer, we strongly encourage that you decide to give us the business. That being said, if you decide not to purchase from us for any reason, we still highly recommend purchasing from one of Toto’s authorized retailers. It’s very easy to find their authorized retailers, they list it out on their site under totousa.com. Under the “where to buy” menu option, up at the very top. There’s a list of a little over a dozen authorized retailers that they list there. We’re on that list, but there are some others as well. If you decide not to purchase from us, we highly recommend purchasing from one of those other authorized retailers, to protect your investment. This is a large purchase, the last thing that you want is for something to go wrong and you to be without a unit, just to save a few dollars up front. Because you’re watching this video, you might be considering the Toto Neorest 750H, but you might be considering some of the other options as well. Maybe one of the lower end Neorest units, or maybe you’re even considering the Toto Neorest NX2, which is their highest end integrated unit. Yes, it’s even more expensive than the 750H. If that’s the case, consider subscribing to our youtube channel, as we’re going to be reviewing all of them in the near future and you’ll want to make sure that you don’t miss any of that action.

Also, again, if you are considering a purchase of a Toto Neorest, consider making that purchase with manybidets.com, a link is in the video description. That helps to support us and helps us to continue to be able to bring you great content like this and be available to answer your questions, because we’re still in business. You can reach us via email, phone, text, or live chat. All of that through our website. Again, in the video description, or you can comment on this video and we’ll reply. Like the video if you like what you saw. Thank you so much for watching and have a great day.
