Having a nightlight for your toilet and bidet makes it safer to use the bathroom in low light settings. Built-in nightlights illuminate the bowl of the toilet or integrated bidet so you can see where you’re going. Plus, they take up less space and have slimmer design than after market LED nightlights.

An on/off button located on the bidet (or on the remote or control panel) lets you choose whether or not to enable the night light feature. When switched “on”, the night light’s sensor detects when the bathroom light is low and automatically illuminates. In daylight, or when the overhead lights are turned on, the night light detects that there is adequate light in the bathroom and stays off. You can disable the automatic night light by pressing the “off” button.

If you already have a bidet or simply want to illuminate your toilet bowl, check out after market night lights. These clip on to the side of the toilet bowl and function the same as the built-in kind. They offer several different color options whereas built in night lights come in one color only. The main downside is that they’re bulkier than a built in night light, and their placement makes them more likely to accumulate dirt and grime.
